penii is a manual-first budgeting app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how you can contact us about your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your email address, display name, and the financial information you enter manually into the app. We may also receive the technical information needed to authenticate your account, maintain subscription access, and keep the app working securely.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve penii's financial management features, including expense tracking, bills, savings, budgets, forecast views, and subscription access. Your data helps us personalize your dashboard, generate forecast and spending views, and deliver account-related messages such as password resets, billing updates, and security notices. We do not sell your personal or financial information.

3. Third-Party Services

penii uses Supabase for secure account infrastructure and storage, Apple and Google for authentication, and RevenueCat for subscription state on Apple platforms. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and only to support the app's core functionality.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored securely using Supabase. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest by the underlying hosted platform. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. When you delete your account, we remove your personal and financial data from our live systems within 30 days. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to an additional 90 days before rotating out.

5. Data Security

We use encrypted connections, secure authentication flows, and row-level security policies to protect account data. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but we investigate and respond promptly to suspected issues.

6. Your Rights

• Delete your account and associated data through app settings or by contacting us.
• Review and update most account and manual financial data directly in the app.
• Correct inaccurate personal information through your account settings.
• Remove recurring bills, spending entries, and balance information whenever you choose.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

penii uses device storage to maintain authentication state, background preferences, and app settings. We do not use Apple's Advertising Identifier, third-party advertising cookies, or cross-app tracking.

8. Children's Privacy

penii is not intended for use by individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in-app and on this page with an updated effective date.
